Terms & Rules
- You must be 13 or older to play. Under 18? Get a parent's OK before you buy anything.
- Keep your account to yourself, and keep your password safe.
- No cheating: no bots, macros, hacks, modified game files or bug abuse.
- Be decent. No harassment, hate or threats.
- Scrap, Plasmite, ships and other items are part of the game. They have no real-money value and can't be traded for real money.
- The game is still being built. Things can change, and progress can be reset while we test.
- Break the rules and you can lose your account.
This summary is here to help. The full terms below are what count.
1.Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Brutal Armada ("we", "us"). They cover the Brutal Armada game, this website, and anything else we run for the game, such as the in-game chat and the Armada Store.
By creating a pilot, logging in or playing, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't play.
2.Who can play
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you, and must give permission before you buy anything.
- You can't play if we have banned you before, unless we say otherwise.
3.Your account
- Give a real e-mail address when you sign up. We use it to switch your pilot on, help you get back in, and contact you about your account.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for everything that happens on your account.
- Your account is for you only. Don't share it, sell it, buy someone else's, or let anyone else play on it.
- Don't use extra accounts to get an advantage, for example to feed resources to your main pilot or to dodge a ban.
- If you think someone got into your account, contact us right away.
4.Pilot names and chat
Pilot names, fleet names and chat messages must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, threatening, or pretend to be someone else, including our staff. We can change a name that breaks this rule, without warning.
5.Fair play
Everyone plays the same game by the same rules. You must not:
- use bots, macros, auto-clickers or any program that plays for you;
- use cheats, hacks, or modified or unofficial versions of the game;
- abuse bugs or glitches. If you find one, report it instead of using it;
- attack, overload or try to break into our servers, the website, or other players' accounts;
- sell, buy or trade accounts, items, Scrap or Plasmite for real money or anything outside the game;
- arrange fights with yourself or with friends to farm rewards.
6.Respect other pilots
Fighting is the point of the game, and trash talk about the game is fine. Crossing the line is not. You must not:
- harass, bully or threaten anyone;
- post hate speech or attack people for who they are;
- share anyone's personal information;
- spam, advertise or post scam links;
- pretend to be a Brutal Armada team member or moderator.
7.Virtual items and currency
Scrap, Plasmite, ships, designs, equipment, boosters, ammo and everything else you get in the game are virtual items. When you earn or buy them, you get a personal right to use them in the game. You don't own them, and:
- they have no real-money value and can't be cashed out or exchanged for money;
- they can't be moved to another account or sold outside the game;
- we can change how they work, their stats and prices, to keep the game balanced and fun;
- we can remove items that were gained by cheating, bugs or breaking these rules.
8.Buying things
The Armada Store will sell Plasmite, Premium, ships, designs, booster packs and monthly passes for real money. Payments are not switched on yet. When they are:
- prices are shown before you pay, and what you buy is delivered to the pilot you're logged in as;
- Premium and passes last for the time shown, for example 30 days or one month;
- all sales are final, except where the law gives you a right to a refund. If something you paid for never arrived, contact us and we will put it right;
- if you reverse a payment through your bank or card company (a chargeback) without contacting us first, we may suspend the account until it is sorted out;
- if you are under 18, you need your parent's or guardian's permission before buying.
We'll add the details of the payment provider here when payments go live.
9.A game in development
Brutal Armada is still being built and tested. That means:
- features, maps, ships, items and balance can change at any time;
- the game or website can be down for updates or fixes;
- during testing, we may reset progress (a "wipe"). We'll try to warn players first;
- we may close the game in the future. If we do, we'll give notice on this website.
10.If you break the rules
Depending on what happened, we can warn you, mute you in chat, remove items or progress, suspend your account for a while, or ban it for good. We decide based on what we see, including game and chat logs. Serious cheating or attacks on the game can lead to a ban without a warning first.
If you think we got it wrong, you can appeal by contacting us (section 18). Tell us your pilot name and what happened.
11.Our game, our content
The Brutal Armada name, logo, game, artwork, models, sounds, music and code belong to Brutal Armada or the people who license them to us. You can't copy, sell, reverse-engineer or reuse them, except for normal play and for sharing your own screenshots and videos of the game.
12.What you post
Your pilot name, fleet name, chat messages and anything else you post can be seen by other players. You let us show, store and use them to run the game. We can remove anything that breaks these terms.
13.Your information
To run the game, we collect:
- your pilot name and e-mail address;
- your password, stored scrambled (hashed), so even we can't read it;
- your IP address when you sign up and log in;
- game and chat logs: what happens in the game and what is said in chat;
- when payments go live, a record of your purchases. Card details are handled by the payment provider, not stored by us.
We use this to run the game, keep accounts safe, catch cheaters, answer support requests and fix problems. We don't sell your personal information. We only share it when the law requires it, or with services that help us run the game (like e-mail or payments) and only for that.
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, or to delete your account, by contacting us (section 18).
14.No guarantees
We work hard to keep the game running and fair, but it is provided "as is". We can't promise it will always be available, free of bugs, or that your progress will never be lost. As far as the law allows, Brutal Armada is not responsible for indirect losses or for losing virtual items, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here takes away rights you have by law that can't be taken away.
15.Closing an account
You can stop playing at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account. We can close an account that breaks these terms (section 10). When an account is closed, its virtual items are gone, and there's no refund for them unless the law requires one.
16.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the game grows. The date at the top shows the latest version. For big changes, we'll let players know on this website or in the game. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new terms.
17.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
